Leather products and stationery, under our trademark cueropapel&tijera, with an aesthetic based on the nature of leather, handcrafts and traditional processes of leather goods, saddlery and binding.

cueropapel&tijera develops from a new way of understanding design and traditional processes. Whether through their handbags and leather accessories or through a line of traditional bookbinding, cueropapel&tijera is carried away by the nature of its protagonist, the leather.

The use of this material is intended to be the main reason behind each design. Details such as the skin marks and enhancement of the seams, make each piece of cueropapel&tijera an interesting alternative to what the market currently offers in Costa Rica.

The line of handbags and accessories leads its designer, Sofia Protti, to develop products that stand out in the market for its quality, finishes and designs. These are items that have been created to complement our brand with a versatile design that fits the lifestyle of that who owns one

Handmade bookbinding allows customers whole access to alternative stationery. The bohemia notebooks are based on the simplicity of leather processing, combined with the functionality and quality of the stitching.

Tribute

cueropapel&tijera pays tribute to José Rafael Coto Hernández, founder and teacher of this business. Educated under the order of Reverendos Padres Capuchinos of Cartago, and known in the art of bookbinding as "Cholo Coto". In 1952, Jose R. Coto formally began a career with his first workshop, "Encuadernacion Gutenberg "

For 50 years, his hands worked leather and paper in a flawlessly and distinguished way. Later, he discovered and improved the craft of leather as a complementary line of business, through which he also gained admiration, respect and loyalty from his customers.
